2011 sees the 15th anniversary of Acne Clothing, having first been founded in Stockholm in 1996. Originally an advertising and lifestyle brand company, the four founders all had a passion for denim and it was thus a logical progression for the company to release its first jeans collection. Uniquely the jeans were unisex which got the brand lots of press and by 1998 they launched their first full clothing collection. Using simple lines and classical tailoring concepts, they team this with modern trends to create everyday fashion garments. Key pieces within the collection include dresses and Pistol Boots.
